Description: This data is a spatial representation of the areas managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Stands are groupings of trees that typically share certain characteristics, like topography, aspect, species, age, size, condition, and/or distribution. Stands are the basic unit of forest management and are typically treated with the same prescription throughout. Stands are numbered to help keep track of inventory, planned and completed activities, management expenses, and other variables of interest.
